Solemar was founded in the 1980s, having set itself the challenge to combine desire for innovation, intuition and entrepreneurial courage.

The idea to offer the market large composite boats went very much against the tide in a sector which, at that time, was sure these types of boats would amount to nothing.

A nautical trailblazer, Solemar was the first company in Italy to focus on the production of cabin cruisers and quickly became the undisputed leader both in Italy and abroad.
A number of important highlights in the sector include production of the first 10-metre cabin cruiser in the world, in 1989, and the first 7.5-metre boat with cabin in 1990.

Products with cutting edge technology. Solemar´s boats are characterised by their high standards of ¨liveability¨ and comfort, usually found only on yachts, combined with the nautical capabilities of high-performance boats that are uniquely safe in all seagoing conditions. All this is then enhanced with a number of unique features that give Solemar boats a touch of originality and elegance: these include fibreglass bows and roll bars, as well as the ¨Panna Exclusive Solemar¨ cream colour that marks all our products.

Our wide product range, which also includes the line of open-style boats that was unveiled in 1996, meets the demands of any pleasure boat enthusiast, thanks to the painstaking attention to detail and quality in our master craftsman-like production process and to the use of only the best materials on the market.

The year 2007 marked a turning point for Solemar, when the company became part of the Arimar group, a leader in the production of inflatable products and in the sale of electronic instrumentation and components for both the pleasure and professional boating sectors.
Solemar effectively extends the group´s range of products, giving Arimar the broadest and most complete product range in Europe, with boats up to 17 metres in length.

With a view to logistical and organisational optimization, the Solemar offices and departments have been transferred to Montaletto di Cervia (RA), where the Arimar group is based.
Thus began a new chapter in the Solemar story, with its first official public appearance – as part of the Arimar group - being the 47th International Boat Show in Genoa. Here, it presented a number of innovations and changes to the Cruiser line, but in particular unveiled two brand new models: the 26 Oceanic, the only boat in its size class equipped with a spacious cabin with head; and the 13-metre 44 Oceanic, which marks the start of a new line of high-end boats to be developed over the next few years.
